The Adventures of Ben and Chickpea: The Truth About Santa Clause…
This is my short little video I made for our mini session with Tina. The subs are not necessarily meant to be read. They are to give the impression of conversation and give you a general idea what is happening.

Mini Book
For my independent project I made a mini book where I keep all my gathered information.
Paper, Chip Board, Book Cloth, Fine Liner Pen

This was my original idea for my video animation for the Prothesis project, needless to say I never finished but I just ran across these photos and decided to make an annoying little video.

Fun Iterations
So for my merit scholarship entries my mother brought by some frames to put them in and they came with little mats, and I experimented with the mats a little and thought it looked kind of cool. I especially like the first one.

Topic: Question and Answer
Question: Is the world rightside up or upside down?
Assignment #1: Reasearch
In depth research of the human eye and it’s connection to the brain. Create a mini book with findings. Include graphics, facts, and resources.
Assignment #2: Experimental Exploration
What would the world look like upside down? Creative photographic study of the world upside down. Create some sort of 3D model.
Assignment #3: Converge and Contemplate
Start thinking about how you want to present your final piece. Create first iteration. Write Artist Statement.

3 Questions
-What if we could see only one color at a time?
-The retinas interpret everything upside down. With that in mind is the world upside down or right side up?
-Why do salt and pepper go together?
For our independent project we need to come up with a question to answer in 2D, 3D, or 4D. As a warm up exercise we needed to come up with three questions to help narrow down our interests. With these interests in mind we need to condense and formulate a specific question for our project. I really like my first two questions I’m thinking about doing some sort of visual perception concept. Ideally I would like to respond in all three (2D 3D 4D) but I definitely plan on responding in a photographic composition, and hopefully a 4D composition. I’m really excited about this project. Now I just need to formulate my question and come up with mini assignments and deadlines to assist me in getting this project done.

For class we had to draw a composition illustrating our combined sculpture.

Combination
So with our sculptures we drew from a hat whether to make a top or bottom then we drew names to determine who to combine with. I got Megan who made these totally awesome legs.
